Projects and Events Update

In early May, I was pleased to assist with arranging and keyboard support for a staged reading of "The Last Cyclist",  A holocaust play, steeped in absurdist, dark humor -  and  actually written by holocaust victim, Karel Svenk.

Playwright, and Jewish historian, Naomi Patz, shepherded this important piece through with a highly creative adaptation of Svenk's original play, originally performed at the Terezin concentration camp.

Here's a commercial software demo I underscored for Data Foundations, a leading software company in the field of Master Data Management and Hierarchy Management (Better take notes).

Sky Boys: How They Built The Empire State Building will be my next Making Books Sing adaptation with librettist / Lyricist, Barbara Zinn Krieger.

Making Books Sing provide a rich development environment for all their productions, so look for a workshop in 2010 prior to the actual run of the show starting in early 2011.

Boosey & Hawkes  announced publication of  the Barbara Zinn Krieger/Charles Greenberg theater work- The Butterfly - as part of their Making Books Sing catalogue.  For more information please call Boosey & Hawkes at 212 358 5300 or E-mail composers.us@boosey.com

The latest 2009 Christmas extravaganza at the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse included some of my favorite arrangements. The instrumental ensemble, the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse Orchestra, directed by Ted Brancato at the keyboard, played one of my favorites:

"You're So Fine, Sugar Plum"

I've written the theme music for  3 episodes of Dick Sturgeon: Life Coach - a broad band comedy short written and produced by my brother, Larry Greenberg of Camera Ready Comedy. Click here for some good laughs.
